But if in the meantime, you are part of the majority of people who don’t have tens of millions in their bank account to spend on a stroller, I invite you to come dream along with me and learn a little more about these formidable machines that are the most expensive cars in the world in 2022:

5. Rolls-Royce Sweptail

Costing $13 million, this rare car was designed by a separate department of the Rolls-Royce company called Coachbuild. In this category the cars are idealized by the client and together with the craftsman, they develop custom-made cars.

The Sweptail was inspired by the client’s favorite classic cars as well as by his passion for classic and modern yachts. It has an uninterrupted glass roof, leather seats, a bespoke cooler, and a V12 engine capable of reaching 100km/h in 6 seconds.

4. Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta

With an estimated value of $17.6 million, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is a commemorative version of the Italian brand created for race car lovers.

To give you an idea of how exclusive this car is, only 3 units were produced. It has a V12 7.3 l engine of AMG origin, with 800 horsepower, coupled to a six-speed manual transmission.

3. Bugatti La Voiture Noire

Slightly more expensive, third place went to Bugatti’s La Voiture Noire, costing $18.7 million. This supercar was made to order, receiving a special body and elongated wheelbase.

This car is a modern reinterpretation of Jean Bugatti’s legendary Type 57 SC Atlantic, which has been lost in history. Its body features a carbon fiber surface and a gloss carbon black coating.

According to the manufacturer, this finish generates virtually no reflection, but plenty of tension and drama.

2. Rolls-Royce Boat Tail

The Boat Tail, second on this list of most expensive cars, cost $28 million. According to the manufacturer, only 3 units of this vehicle were produced.

The inspiration was contemporary nautical design. All three cars have the same exterior bodywork, but each is unique in its interior details.

Also handcrafted, the big difference in the design of this model are structures that extend from the rear deck deployed by a mechanical system in an inverted manner like a flower, rotating cocktail tables with matching stool seats, a complete set of Christofle tableware, and two fridges in a color scheme to match Armand de Brignac champagne bottles.

The deck is finished in Caleidolegno veneer and hinges towards the center in a butterfly shape.

1. 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO

The most impressive thing about this list is that the first place, costing $70 million, is a car from 1963.

But relax, there is a special reason: it is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO, chassis number 4153 GT, which won the 1964 Tour de France (with Lucien Bianchi and Georges Berger) and came fourth in the 1963 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

At the time, the car was painted silver, with a yellow stripe on the hood – exactly as it is today.
