Coca-Cola History

One of the leading companies in the world! Source: Google Images

The first Coca-Cola beverage was created in July 1886 by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton of Columbus, Georgia.

It was marketed as a beverage that could help with headache relief and was sold largely in pharmacies.

Pemberton conducted numerous mixing trials and succeeded in his endeavor in May, although the new product was still nameless and uncarbonated at the time.

Frank M. Robinson, Pemberton’s bookkeeper, is credited with giving the product its name and designing its logo.

Because it is alliteration and has two key ingredients—coca leaves and kola nuts—Robinson chose the name Coca-Cola.

John Pemberton had stepped aside, leaving Robinson to produce, advertise, and market Coca-Cola by himself.

With minimal resources at his disposal, Robinson advertised the beverage successfully.

In 1892, American entrepreneur Asa Griggs Candler founded the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta after purchasing the Coca-Cola recipe and trademark. Coca-Cola was available in every state of the nation by 1895.

Now, it is available in almost every country in the order and apart from water, must be the most consumed drink in order.
