What do I need to know to be prepared and apply?
One of Africa’s largest and most successful clothes, general merchandise, and food shops is the Pick n Pay Group.
There are currently 775 locations in the Pick & Pay Group, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and family stores (which are franchise stores).
Further, Pick n Pay has a workforce of approximately 42,000 workers and an annual revenue of R55,3 billion.
But things weren’t always like this. Pick n Pay was established in 1967 as a family-run company with four modest outlets in the Western Cape.
The company went public the next year on The JSE Limited Securities Exchange, and Pick n Pay developed into the dominant retail organization it is today.
Furthermore, the Pick n Pay Group, which focuses on food, apparel, and general products, is run by two divisions: the Pick n Pay Retail Division, and the Group Enterprises Division. There is a management board for each section.

Empathy
Your professional relationships with the customers will benefit greatly from relating to others. You are not only better at finding win-win solutions but you are also more tactful, patient, and persuasive. Your relationships will naturally strengthen as an added bonus.
Problem-Solving Mindset
In most aspects of your life, your attitude will determine how successful you are. It’s crucial to maintain optimism and have faith in your ability to go beyond challenges.
This kind of thinking will keep you motivated when things go rough at work.
Complex issues intimidate you and undermine your willpower. To make things easier to handle, divide them up into smaller, more manageable tasks.
Additionally, finishing them will increase your motivation.
Being coachable
Are you aware of the proverb, “It takes a village”? Successful people don’t move up the corporate ladder by snubbing criticism from anyone.
On the contrary, they thoughtfully assimilate the sound advice they are provided. The key word here is “good”; when you receive lousy advice, you can and should ignore it.
Being coachable throughout your entire career, as opposed to only at the start, ensures that you’ll constantly advance and get better.
